Our Story
Paradise Lawns was founded in 1999 by Omaha native Dave Wyman.
Before starting the company, Dave served in the United States Air Force as a Space Systems Operator at Offutt Air Force Base. During his time in the Air Force, he began college and later completed his bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
After graduating, Dave realized he wanted to pursue a more entrepreneurial path. Having previously worked with his uncle Tom, who owned a lawn care company, he already had experience in the industry and genuinely enjoyed the work.
In the early years, Paradise Lawns offered a wide range of lawn and landscape services. Over time, Dave recognized that focusing on fewer services would allow the company to deliver a higher level of quality and consistency. The business gradually narrowed its focus to fertilization, weed control, and long-term lawn health programs.
A strong interest in environmental responsibility and family safety eventually led Dave to explore organic lawn care approaches. That research shaped the direction of the company, and today organic fertilization programs remain a central part of Paradise Lawns.
Dave lives in Omaha with his wife Natalie and their three sons. Together with a dedicated team, Paradise Lawns continues to serve a growing group of homeowners who value dependable service and thoughtful lawn care.
